About Us

Luna is the founder of The Black Experience. Currently living in the midwest with her family, she spends her days creating content and researching the history of Black Americans. When not knee-deep in TBE content or spending time with her family, she can be found nurturing her blerdy side with video games, planner tools and large amounts of cute toys. 

Momo is a woman who specializes in writing, reading, and productive procrastination. She’s enjoyed writing creative stories since she was two years old (though she couldn’t exactly write at that time). Since then, she’s been working on plenty of short stories, webcomics, and novel ideas. 

Paula is the founder and CEO of Birdwing Beauty, Inc., an organization designed primarily to develop financial and life management skills for our youth. She is also the CFO at an auto parts and service company in the midwest. Prior to this, she was the Finance Director at a major university. 

Born in 1987 to immigrant parents (a Haitian mom and a Jamaican dad), Prisca is deeply fascinated by island life, culture, and cuisine. Having been raised in Houston, Texas, she finds herself enamored by ALL aspects of the African diaspora. Some fun facts about her: she is a FAMU alum, a Gemini, and an avid reader.

Jasmine is my name. I was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York, where I currently reside as a single mother of two. I'll be sharing with you all of the things I love and especially the things I love to do with the people I love most. And I hope that you find it helpful in many ways.
